This is "The Garden of Eden" by Thomas Cole, one of the painters from the Hudson River School movement. We saw this at the Amon Carter Museum a few years ago - its so much more amazing in person... the colors glow, everything is bright. If you ever get a chance to see it, go. A photo can't express how amazing it is.
