why i hate math

firstly, why should i like it? i mean really, 7 8 9. how can i forgive him for that? 9 was my friend!

secondly and more to the point... i think math dislikes me. worse than that, it laughs at me. the solutions to the problems see me as stupid, they say "oh, i know the answer to this and i'm just a number... the solution is just a simple outworking of the universal logic which she ought to understand! this is the world she by creation fits into, how can she possibly not comprehend its logic yet?" it, in its inflexible rightness, shows me just how little i know about how the world i've spent and will continue to spend my life in works. no matter how hard i have tried, no matter how much knowledge of the world's logic i try to pick up, i'm still not stinkin good enough to do this seemingly simple problem.

a problem has arisen.

This problem is between my two dear friends and neighbors, namely Cecil A. Beatley and Percival E. Worthington. I do not blame dear Percy, but rather believe the fault lies with Cecil.

The other day I took my gnomely friends out on a walk, and as they reached the top of a rather dirty hill, paused to take their picture...

ah, the appearance of innocence. Could anyone tell from Cecil's tranquil expression what terrible deed he was plotting? no. You must understand, Cecil is not an evil gnome, but he does hate spunk so. This hatred for all spunk, though a good thing in moderation, pushes him to judgemental remarks and intolerance. Words can hurt, Cecil. So, as they were standing there, Percy complimented Cecil's beard, and tried to water it with his watering can.

This was a bad idea.

No, Cecil, No.

t'isnt lyme disease! 'twis garlic flu!

i have come to the conclusion that my illness is not lyme disease, because i don't believe in lyme disease. i don't mean that i don't believe in the fundamental beliefs inherent in lyme disease, i mean that i don't believe it exists. my ailment is...

garlic flu.

my family eats so much garlic (seriously, 8 cloves in one loaf of garlic bread? wow. ) that this is not a suprise. if my hypothesis is correct, i am patient zero in the man-garlic mutation process.

yes, my friends, i am slowly becoming a head of garlic.

one of the more disgusting symptoms of garlic flu is that all the foods not banned by my medication taste remarkably like raw garlic, and are therefore disgusting. yuck.

itsss.... BIBLEMAN!!

go to imdb, look up Bibleman- its a Christian Kid's show... not currently on air, but very very hilarious. also not great doctrine... but HILARIOUS!

a favorite quote...

Cypher: ...The Prince of Pride hit you with an ego-stimulating, heat-radonic seismo-ray...!

Bibleman: ...Creating an egoplasmic distortionary electro-field, which caused me to focus on myself instead of God! *Insidious!*

my superpower

Stronger than parentheses! More expressive than a double hyphen! Able to simulate conversational dramatic, emphatic or awkward pauses in written expression in a single bound!

Look! There, on the page!... between those two words! That thing that signals neither a shift in topic nor a separation between two connected phrases... is it a comma? is it a semi-colon?... no, its an ELLIPSE!

eureka!

i absolutely love the feeling you get when you solve a technology problem that seemed unsolveable. its just... oh yes.

makes me feel like one of those awesome geeks that are always in movies... the ones who are supposed to be geeky but wind up being the coolest character in the entire movie. i won!
